■What is majotae?
majotae" is a brand that revives the texture of Japanese hemp fabric, which was produced in the 19th century, using modern technology.
The unique characteristic of this fabric is that it becomes whiter and more pleasant to the touch the more it is used. It has excellent quick-drying, antibacterial, and moisture retention properties, and its silky luster, light bounce, and superb softness are unique to OHASABU and not found in any other fabric.
This was achieved by thoroughly researching the production process of 19th century Cannabusu and replacing it with modern technology.

■About Japanese Azabu
Long before rice cultivation was introduced to Japan, about 10,000 years ago, "cannabis cloth" was already in use.
It was used not only for everyday items such as clothes, fishnets, and mosquito nets, but also for shimenawa (sacred ropes) at shrines, and hemp leaves were used to ward off evil spirits.
Hemp may have a strong image as a summer material, but it has been used in Japan as an excellent functional material that is warm in winter and cool in summer due to its quick-drying and cooling properties, making it comfortable to wear all year round regardless of temperature and climate.
Cannabis is also attracting attention as a sustainable material that has a very low environmental impact from the cultivation stage, as it grows quickly and can be grown anywhere, and uses less water and pesticides than other natural materials.
